It is increasingly recognized that sleep and sleep disorders play a significant role in neurodegenerative diseases (NDDs). As both sleep disorders, disrupted sleep and NDDs are all more coming in the aging population, understanding the interaction between them is an important first step towards new treatments. This course will provide an overview of normal sleep in aging, sleep disorders (including movement disorders and RBD) associated with the major NDDS (Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson disease, Lewy Body dementia). The course aims to increase the knowledge of the participants on these disorders and their interaction.
